MCGA Club Championship
The MCGA conducts two championships that members in good standing can participate in. Both of these contests are held at the end of the season and run in conjunction with normal MCGA Saturday golf events. The first is called the Tour Championship and the second is called the Club Championship.
The last event of the MCGA season is the MCGA Club Championship. This is the final round of the official league season for all qualifying members in good standing that have played in a minimum number of rounds during the season. The title of Club Champion and a beautiful trophy go to the overall "tournament ace" who shoots the lowest net score among golfers in all of the flights. In addition, the following is a list of all of the contests that the players will be competing for.
The Club Championship, as with all our "major" events during the season, will use an 80% handicap adjustment to determine the low net scores. In the event of a tie for Club Champion, a one-hole sudden death playoff will be held, if the course will allow it. Otherwise, we will use the same scorecard tiebreaking system used during the season.
