MCGA Tour Championship
The MCGA conducts two championships that members in good standing can participate in. Both of these contests are held at the end of the season and run in conjunction with normal MCGA Saturday golf events. The first is called the Tour Championship and the second is called the Club Championship.
The MCGA Tour Championship (also referred to as the "Points Cup") is the title that members play all year long to achieve. The MCGA Tour Champion is determined by an accumulation of both regular season points and playoff round points culminating in a winner-take-all final round for the top 5.
**IMPORTANT** All the normal, regular season pools are held during the playoff rounds! So even if you have not advanced in the playoffs, the Low Net, Net Skins, Gross Skins, CTP, Birdies, Super Skin etc. will all still be contested each week and available. There's no excuse to miss playing in a round if you do not advance.

Playoffs
The playoff rounds begin about sixty days prior to end of the season for members. The rounds are not always held on successive weeks. Non-playoff rounds can be mixed in between. Each member starts the playoffs with their respective accumulation of season-long points and try to increase them by earning more points during the subsequent playoff events that they qualify for. Each playoff round is a low net, stroke event.
During the first three playoff rounds, points will be awarded per the following table. Points will not be awarded by flight, as in the regular season. No Tour Championship points are awarded in any non-playoff rounds held after the playoffs start.

Advancing Through the Playoffs
- Playoff Round #1, the full field participates and only the top 10 finishers earn playoff points. The top 20 players with the highest accumulated Tour Championship points advance to playoff round #2.
- Playoff Round #2, the top 20 players participate and only the top 10 finishers earn playoff points. The top 10 players with the highest accumulated TC points advance to playoff round #3.
- Playoff Round #3, the top 10 players participate and only the top 10 finishers earn playoff points. The top 10 players with the highest accumulated TC points advance to the Finals.
If two or more players are tied in total points vying for the last spot in a playoff round, the tiebreaker will be the player with the highest total number of flight wins during the season. If there is still a tie after that, the second tiebreaker will be the player with the highest total number of Tour Championship events.
Tour Championship Final Round
The final playoff round will be a single, 18 hole, "winner take all", net stroke play round. As with all "major" events, an 80% handicap adjustment will be used to determine the low net scores. In addition, players also receive a score advantage for this final round according to their "seeding" or total accumulated season point standings. The player with the highest total season points will be seeded #1. The player with second highest total points will be seeded #2 and so on according to the table below.

The player with the lowest net score + advantage will be the MCGA Tour Champion.
In the event of a tie for Tour Champion, a one-hole sudden death playoff will be held, if the course will allow it. Otherwise, we will use the same scorecard tiebreaking system used during the season.
