The 2020 MCGA Club Championship was contested by 33 golfers on Saturday October 31, 2020 at the Hyatt Hill Country Resort. The weather started out at a chilly 40F but it eventually warmed to the mid-70's. As usual the Hyatt was in great shape and played pretty tough with only three golfers' gross scores breaking 80. But unusually, the competition for the championship boiled down to winning the "A" flight. Three players in the A flight were close and all had an excellent shot of winning the trophy. Rick Klunk and Joe Renaud played neck and neck with one another for most of the day but Kevin Davidson put on a late charge with two birdies in his last two holes. In the end, Klunk's 77 (net 73) was the low gross score but Renaud's 78 (net 71) won the title by one over Davidson's 79 (net 72) and by two over Klunk.
