MCGA Events cancelled for april

The ripples from the Stay Home, Work Safe Order issued by the City of San Antonio and Bexar County have finally impacted the Mission City Golf Association. In an email to its members, MCGA President Joey Hernandez  announced the cancellation of its weekly golf events  for the remainder of April. He summarized the present difficult situation of a large group playing golf safely by saying, "as much as we tried, we couldn't outrun what's happened in the world."
As to when MCGA events would resume, he was hopeful of May 1st or, "once this shelter in place is lifted, and the golf courses are reopened, the board will do all it can to see if our 2020 schedule is still in place."
That's just a few short weeks away. Let's all hope that normalcy returns to the world these restrictions are lifted by then.
